To keep themselves abreast with updates on new laws, rules, regulations, circulars, and government issuances, our personnel regularly take state-sponsored education seminars offered by government agencies involved in the maritime industry such as, but not limited to, Department of Labor & Employment, the POEA, and the country's maritime industry authority, MARINA.
Emerico Gepilano
He holds a degree in Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Transportation (Top of his class) from the University of the Visayas and toppled the Philippine Licensure Examination for Marine Transportation in 1987. He had 26 years sea going experience and 13 years as Master Mariner onboard Gas Tankers on European trade.
He has 24 years teaching experience as a Maritime Professor in the Academe & Training and a Dean for the Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Transportation & Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering at the University of the Visayas for 4 years. He held management position in shipping companies for German & Japanese ship owners.
A recipient of multiple citations in which two of his most notable awards were given by Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte as the OFW Outstanding Achievement Awardee & Ten Outstanding Cebuano Awardee by the Governor of Cebu City.
He is the President & founder of CREST Maritime Inc. and the Executive Vice President of Merchant Marine Academy of Caraga Inc. and a member of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) STCW Advisory Council.
Nikias Calledo
He holds a degree in Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Engineering from Cebu Technological University in 1990. He has 28 years sea going experience and 12 years as Chief Engineer on different types of vessels on worldwide trade.
He has 7 years teaching experience as a Maritime Professor in the Academe & Training and the Program Chairman for the Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering at the University of the Visayas for 1 year. He is an ISO 9001 lead auditor and a Lean Six Sigma yellow belter.
He is the Operation Manager of CREST Maritime Inc. and the Standard & Program Chairman of the Merchant Marine Academy of Caraga Inc. aside from being a member of the Board of Directors.
